Offers a Mandarin Immersion program in the San Mateo-Foster City School District. Regardless of background or home language, all incoming K-3rd graders spend 30-50% of their instructional day learning the California standards in Mandarin Chinese. Additional grade levels will be added until 2013 to offer Mandairn Immersion K-5th grade.

Love our school! Principal Hallock's enthusiastic leadership together with her wonderfully capable staff, has produced a program that is international in scope, local in it's sense of community and straight to the heart in terms of how we feel about being there. There is a "can try, can do" attitude here that is rare in public school education today. Did I mention that it's a public school?! Teaching Mandarin, including art, science and music in addition to the excellent focus on core academics. GATE program is also located here, so teachers are great at assessing individual student performance and devising strategies for each student to be successful. Only caveat - two hours of Mandarin daily, so not full immersion, but still achieving great results.
